8/7/06 St. Petersburg to Host
Downtown Forum
VISIT FLORIDA, the state's official source for travel
planning, is hosting the second annual Downtowns & Small Towns Forum.
The Forum is an extension of the successful Downtowns & Small Towns
program that focuses on the revitalized and vibrant downtowns and small
towns throughout the state. Florida's downtowns and small towns provide the
authenticity and uniqueness that cultural heritage travelers want. They are
the portal to Florida's rich cultural, heritage, multi-cultural, natural
and architectural assets. They are "where the locals go."
This two-and-a-half day educational forum will take place in beautiful St. Petersburg, September 6-8, 2006, with town tours in St. Petersburg and other smaller
cities.
In the course of two-and-a-half days, learn how to effectively develop and
promote your downtown or small town, through the use of Florida models and
success stories. The town tours will highlight model downtown and small town
revitalization and tourism marketing applications.
